like seriously: chapter thirty-five

fashion magazines, fashion blogs and all things stylish keep us fashionistas in the know but we as independent girls who love the lives we live consciously decide what styles work best for our own bodies. cos no one knows it better than us, aye?

and you (yes, we're talking to you!) know that vintage is one of the best ways for you to express your inner chic self without compressing your taste and finding another girl wearing the same dress as you are! carrying the same look doesn't hurt but outfit clashing is definitely a big fashion boo boo..

but even so, it's how you carry the look by accessorizing it to the max. doing it like seriously style? it's gotta be geeky glasses, wide belt, an occasional tie, piles of bangles and killer heels!

a series of unfortunate events..

or, well, a couple, rather..

we had two mailing mishaps that we never thought could have happened this way. and the other shocking thing was that both happened at the same post office with the same person-in-charge at the post. go figure..

in the same week, two girls requested for pos ekspres, which usually created no problems at all, until that day when we dropped both envelopes off with the officer at the KLCC post office as we couldn't find the pos ekspres box. we left the office thinking that our parcels were in safe hands. little did we know that it was the beginning of a theft we would not know about until 3 weeks after it happened!

when both girls emailed us to inform us that their parcel hadn't arrived, we thought it was just failed attempt at delivery and checked online for the status of the deliveries. only then we found out that there's such a thing as 'tracking number does not exist'. totally clueless and demanding some answers from the post office, we called up the hotline, walked into the klcc office and even emailed them but all to no avail.

then almost three weeks later, one of the parcels actually arrived at the doorstep of one of the girls. and this was the condition of the envelope.

crumpled. ripped. empty.

it was obvious that the seal was ripped and sealed back again (very messily, of course). and to have the cheek to steal the contents of the parcel, seal it back and send an empty envelope to the receiver, to that, i truly salute you whoever did it. i have not seen something so unbelievable, so 'courageous', so irresponsible.

seriously, if you have the nerve to steal something in such a way, then don't send it off. just keep the envelope. really. just take everything. if you're trying to make a statement, well, you've succeeded. you've reinforced your own 'untrustworthiness'. congratulations. this is worse than daylight robbery.

like seriously Relay For Life 2009

with our own masterpieces *coughs*. hey, we ain't no artists, but we definitely tried!

so we had heaps of fun at the Relay For Life 2009 at bukit jalil stadium last weekend. it was a great experience because everyone came together for one sole purpose - to celebrate life. to applaud the lives of those who have battled with cancer and their strength to inspire others to do the same. to remember loved ones lost to cancer. and to fight back, because we aren't defeated.

you know that with every step you run; you were running for joy, for strength, for dignity, for support, for hope, for faith.

"Once you choose hope, anything's possible." - Christopher Reeve

like seriously believes that we seriously ain't got love till we show it :)
