a series of unfortunate events..

or, well, a couple, rather..

we had two mailing mishaps that we never thought could have happened this way. and the other shocking thing was that both happened at the same post office with the same person-in-charge at the post. go figure..

in the same week, two girls requested for pos ekspres, which usually created no problems at all, until that day when we dropped both envelopes off with the officer at the KLCC post office as we couldn't find the pos ekspres box. we left the office thinking that our parcels were in safe hands. little did we know that it was the beginning of a theft we would not know about until 3 weeks after it happened!

when both girls emailed us to inform us that their parcel hadn't arrived, we thought it was just failed attempt at delivery and checked online for the status of the deliveries. only then we found out that there's such a thing as 'tracking number does not exist'. totally clueless and demanding some answers from the post office, we called up the hotline, walked into the klcc office and even emailed them but all to no avail.

then almost three weeks later, one of the parcels actually arrived at the doorstep of one of the girls. and this was the condition of the envelope.

crumpled. ripped. empty.

it was obvious that the seal was ripped and sealed back again (very messily, of course). and to have the cheek to steal the contents of the parcel, seal it back and send an empty envelope to the receiver, to that, i truly salute you whoever did it. i have not seen something so unbelievable, so 'courageous', so irresponsible.

seriously, if you have the nerve to steal something in such a way, then don't send it off. just keep the envelope. really. just take everything. if you're trying to make a statement, well, you've succeeded. you've reinforced your own 'untrustworthiness'. congratulations. this is worse than daylight robbery.

that's just plain cruel.....

sorry that it had to happen to you girls and the buyers as well...

that must have been very disheartening.

Oh no! That's such a horrible thing to have happened. Did the post office take the responsibility for this issue? Because I think they do take matters like these seriously. I once filed a complaint against their posekspress services, thought that my parcels were stolen. The next week, they sent the delivery man appeared with his supervisor personally to see me regarding this issue (long story, but it was a misunderstanding and the parcel wasn't stolen). :) Wish you luck, babes!

that sucked to the max. to whoever who stole your parcel's content is an ahole..

sometimes it might just be pos office ppl themselves. they are stupid. i think the next time if we or someone else wanted to post anything out, i think it's a must for us to seal the parcel with tape just for that extra2 safety.. but then i think they might go and rip it off and seal it back we'll never know..

jeeezz.. these ppl. seriously screw them. *pardon me.

can anything else been done?
must report to PosLaju la.. but even if we report at times they wont give a damn. they are bloody lazy..

I have had more than one bad experience with Pos Laju. In fact i stopped using their service. I recommend ABX or Kangaroo for cost effectiveness, efficiency & honesty.

sunflower: thanks hun. yeah, very disheartening. but ahh wels ;)

lux: wow, what an experience! and that was very responsible of em to send the delivery man and the supervisor to address the issue. we're yet to hear from them.

lydia: we went to the pos office, called, emailed but to no avail. however, we emailed one last time and they said they had sent a report to their higher management. but tat's what they all say, yeh?

jonathan: yeah? we'll look into that. thank you!

sarah: thank you darling. so sweet of you guys, like seriously :)

this is absolutely disgusting. thanks for sharing - need to be more watchful these days. I wld recommend "mailboxes" - you can send poslaju through them with no extra charges and they are open till 9pm. cant trust our local PO

some of them are nice ppl, like mine if i have poslaju, and im not around.. if the guy that always sends to my home, he'll just call for confirmation and asks for my IC number. that's it and he'll just drop it into my letter box..

but well, u know our post office.. they are just plain lazy, not that i really know of but through my experience la.. stupid like how this issue has proven to us.. but some just stick a note and said, "you parcel was open, we stick it back for you".. dont know if they purposely opened it or maybe it was really opened and they were nice!! >"<
